Ernest Eugene Nobles, 78, of Washington passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at his residence.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 10th at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota with the Rev. Donald Kasper officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Ernest was born in Navasota on December 28, 1929, son of Eugene and Alma (Brewer) Nobles. He married Ardie Mae Feldmann in Navasota on August 23, 1947. Ernest's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sally Tyler and Doris Moreland; brother, Russell Nobles; granddaughter, Shelley Nobles; sister-in-law, Jeanette Nobles; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fritz & Ida Feldmann; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Willie & Katie Feldmann.
Ernest is survived by his wife of sixty years, Ardie Mae Nobles; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn & Dale Hinze of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy & Linda Nobles of Navasota, Robert & Sandra Nobles of Navasota, and Jerry & Penny Nobles of Washington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pearl & Henry Joe Roese of Washington, Effie & Albert Addicks of Brenham, Ernest Moreland of Navasota, and Robert "Buddy" Tyler of Franklin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon & Christine Nobles of Navasota, Joe Nobles of Corrigan, Irving & Evelyn Nobles of Hempstead, Thomas & Lois Nobles of Iola, Donald Ray "Shorty" & Gerry Nobles of Navasota, and Jodi Nobles of Navasota; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Adolph & Paula Feldmann of Navasota, William & Erna Nobles of Navasota, and Bill & Ida Mae Kaspar of Bryan; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Nobles of Vallecito, CA, Darren Hinze of Washington, Joel Nobles of Washington, Chad Nobles of Magnolia, Jeremy Nobles of Lindale, Jonathan Nobles of Washington, Joey Eppler of Navasota, Matthew Edgemon of Frisco, and Matthew Bean of Brenham. All of his great-grandchildren are honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Luke Scamardo, Hospice Brazos Valley, family and friends for all of their visits, prayers, and concerns.
