Ernest Hemann, 93, of Navasota, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center.
Visitation will be at Nobles Funeral Chapel Tuesday, May 20 with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, May 21, at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall with Rev. Wayne Schumpee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Ernest was born on December 17, 1914 in White Hall, the son of Charlie and Emma (Schmalrieder) Hemann. He married Esther Peters on February 1, 1942 in White Hall.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Malinda Hemann, Lonie Hemann & Dora Busse; brothers, Henry, Fritz, Edwin, Robert & Hubert Hemann; sisters-in-law, Esther B. Hemann, Elsie Peters, & Lydia Peters; brothers-in-law, Walter Busse & Bennie Peters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman & Ida Peters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Esther Hemann; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra & Robert Nobles of Navasota; grandchildren, Chad & Amy Nobles of Magnolia and Laura & Matthew Edgemon of Frisco; great-grandchildren, Wade & Kate Nobles and Courtney Edgemon; brother-in-law, Arnold Peters of Carmine; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hemann, Erna Hemann, Alice Hemann, all of Navasota and Olga Hemann of Brenham.
Serving as pallbearers are Nelson Randermann of Brenham, Ronnie Hemann of Kilgore, Randy Hemann of College Station, Hal Imhoff, Clell Goodson and Larry Randall, all of Navasota, and Arnold "Buddy" Peters, Jr. of Brenham. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Nobles of Magnolia, Matthew Edgemon of Frisco, Arnold Peters, Sr. of Carmine, Dr. John C. Webb and Winfred Becker, both of Navasota, and Lawrence Hemann of Brenham.
