Erdine Lauter

August 19, 1918 — April 19, 2010

Erdine Hemann Lauter, 91, of Washington, peacefully passed away Monday, April 19th, at Sheridan Nursing Home in Navasota. Visitation will be held from 5-7:30 pm with a prayer service starting at 7:30 pm, Wednesday, April 21st, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are set for 11 am Thursday at Friedens Church of Washington, UCC, with Dr. George Klett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lauter was born August 19th, 1918, in White Hall, Texas, to Fritz Hemann and Katy Lenz Hemann. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall, Texas. On October 15th, 1936, she married Albert Lauter, Jr. Mrs. Lauter enjoyed the simple pleasures in life as a homemaker and a rancher's wife; her happiest moments were spent in the garden, caring for the animals, and with her family around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lauter, Jr.; her parents, Fritz and Katy Hemann; her sisters, Hilda Abke and Ida Marzahn; and her brother, Herbert Hemann.

Survivors include her sisters, Sophie Wehmeyer of Navasota and Christine Abke of Spring, and her daughters and sons-in-law: Kennard and Kay Finke of Washington, T.P. and Reba Rotello of Navasota, and Donnie and Patsy Molitor of Washington, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tim Finke of Magnolia, Tommy and Jackie Rotello of Navasota, Michaele Greenwood of Navasota, Brady and Stacey Becker of Navasota, and Willy and Lesley Horne of Poolesville, Maryland. Mrs. Lauter's great grandchildren are Nathan, Blaine, and Garrett Finke, Joe and Mary Rotello, and Dalton, Michael, and Jenna Greenwood.

Serving as pallbearers will be her great grandsons, Nathan, Blaine, and Garrett Finke, Joe Rotello, and Dalton and Michael Greenwood - and her great granddaughters - Mary Rotello and Jenna Greenwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Finke, Tommy Rotello, Brady Becker, and Willy Horne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Friedens Church of Washington, UCC.
