Emmanuel Sanchez, 19, of Navasota, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7pm Monday, May 3, followed by a parish rosary at 7pm at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday, May 4, also at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with Reverend Raul Marterior officiating. Rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Emmanuel was born March 7, 1991 in Bryan, to Felipe and Maria (Espinoza) Sanchez. He was a senior at Navasota High School, and loved playing soccer, basketball, and video games. He also loved going riding, listening to music, and spending time with his girlfriend, friends, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felipe & Ermelinda Sanchez; and uncle, Catarino Sanchez.
He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Martin & Sotera Espinoza of Navasota; sister, Erika Sanchez of Navasota; brother & sister-in-law, Felipe & Rosemary Sanchez of Navasota; nieces & nephews, Deavon Mock, Gisselle Mock, Jaylynn Mock, and Phillip Sanchez; aunts & uncles, Alberto, Guadalupe, Maria de Jesus, Teresa, Juana, Ana, Rogelio, Clemente, Amador, Julio, Teresa, Maria, Lorenza, Lourdes and Refugio; girlfriend, Dekaviya Calhoun; and numerous friends and family members who will greatly miss him.
Serving as pallbearers are Felipe Sanchez III, Refugio Sanchez, Ernesto Sanchez, Thomas Garcia, Brian Ramirez, and Issac Barrera, all of Navasota; Tito Espinoza of Houston; and Jesus Rodriguez of Bryan.
