Elmer Ray Chapman, 78, of Hempstead, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007, in Hempstead.
He was born on May 6, 1929, in Borger, son of Elsie Fullington and Thomas Chapman.
Mr. Chapman served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Reverend Gary Curtis of Waco's Christ's Church officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Myrna Reed Chapman, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Cathy Chapman of Spring, daughter Pamela Jones of Sealy, grandchildren, Shanna and Jerry Tenorio of Sealy, Ashley and Cy Vojtek of Sealy, Dylan Jones of Sealy, Colton Chapman of Spring, and Miranda Chapman of Spring, and great granddaughters, Zaria Tenorio of Sealy, and Ashlynn Vojtek of Sealy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Chapman, Raymond Chapman, G.W. Chapman, Hydren Chapman, sisters, Louise Turman, Vera Holman, and Dorothy Rhymes.
