Edwin Rabun

Mr. Edwin M. Rabun, 72 of Navasota, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the College Station Medical Center. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday the 11th at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Henry Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Edwin was born Tuesday, June 9, 1936 to Edwin Montressor & Hattie Bell (Lindow) Rabun in Navasota. He married Martha Rhodes on December 22, 1954 in Hempstead. Edwin served in the U.S. Army and worked for the Harris County Road & Bridge Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Rabun of Navasota; granddaughter & grandson-in-law, Ashley & Allen Weaver of Navasota; sons & daughters-in-law, Eddie & Jamie Rabun of Navasota, Steve & Dana Rabun of Montgomery, and Scott & Tammy Rabun of Plantersville; sister, Barbara Williams of Navasota; sister-in-law, Nina Crane & husband Stan of Navasota; brothers-in-law, Bob Rhodes of Bryan, and Charles Rhodes & wife Wanda of North Zulch; 14 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
