Mr. Edmond L. Smith, 84, of Plantersville passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Visitation will be Monday, January 28 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Kucera officiating. The rite of committal will follow in St. Mary's Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Edmond was born on April 10, 1928, in Stoneham, Texas, the son of Charles Cross and Martha (Pavlock) Smith.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret (Karonika) Smith; son, Richard Smith; brothers, Lawrence Smith, Rufus Smith, Bill Smith and
Herman Smith.
He is survived by son, Gary Smith of Plantersville and grandchild, Vanessa Smith of Spring.
