Douglas Smith, 49, of Navasota passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011. Funeral services are set for 10am Friday, February 11 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Sassaman officiating. Family and friends will be gathering at 215 Boulder Dr. in Navasota immediately following the service.
Doug was born in Pasadena on March 21, 1961 to Warren and Vernice (Verrett) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Ronnie Vincent Smith; and grandparents, Louise & Cecil Smith, and John & Lorene Verrett.
Survivors include his wife, Krista Smith of Navasota; mother & step-father, Bernice & Gary Stonesifer of Millican; daughters, Jodie Lynne Nichols & husband Cody who is serving in the U.S. Air Force in Shreveport, LA, and Victoria Kaye Elizabeth Klebold-Smith of Sonora; and sons, Tyler Wayne Smith who is serving in the U.S. Marine Corps at Twentynine Palms, CA, and Austin Wyatt Smith of College Station.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
