Dorothy Joan "Dottie Jo" Hansen Taylor was born on May 16, 1934 in Washington on the Brazos, Washington County, TX Dottie Jo passed away, suddenly, on December 20, 2009 at Breckenridge Hospital, Austin, TX from an ischemic stroke. She was 75 years old.

A private burial is planned. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 414 E. McAlpine, Navasota, TX. Father Bruce Chabot officiating. Arrangements are by Nobles Funeral Chapel, Navasota, TX.

Dottie is survived by numerous family members and more specifically her immediate family of four children and their spouses and three grandchildren, her son Jim Harrington, wife Rue Ann and daughters Cassie and Caitlin; her daughters as follow: Mrs. Joe Donald Long "BJ/Billie Jo" and husband Joe Donald; Virginia Harrington Coy and daughter Kristen and Carol Marie Harrington and finance' Royce Clayton.

Dottie's former husband, Mr. Welton Taylor of Bastrop, TX, preceded her in death, as well as her parents Dr. and Mrs. Marius (Dorothy Day) Hansen; and her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand Hansen of Navasota, TX.
