Dorothy Saathoff, 92, of Navasota passed away Tuesday, July 26 at her residence. The family will receive visitors from 5-7pm Thursday, July 28 and funeral services are set for 10am Friday, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Nancy Creason officiating. Interment will follow in the Courtney Cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Houston on November 29, 1918, the daughter of Harold and Millie (Gregg) Smith, Sr. She married Oliver Saathoff, Sr. in Houston on November 29, 1937. She was a member of Lynn Grove United Methodist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a volunteer for the St. Joseph (Pink Ladies) Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Thelma Keaton; and brother, H.T. Smith Jr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen Mae and Earl Musgrove of Navasota; sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Kathleen Saathoff, Jr. of Houston and Dennis and Kay Saathoff of Navasota; 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grancdhildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Dennis Saathoff , Jayson Hildreth, Kye Hildreth, Edward Dobijanski, Brandon Baldobino and Colson Hildreth, all of Navasota. Honorary pallbearers are Barry Byers, Aaron Musgrove, Ryan Perry, John Shine and Travis Musgrove.
