Mrs. Dorothy Gillian (Harriss) Dugger, 86 of Navasota, passed away Monday, May 15th at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 20th at First United Methodist Church in Navasota. Interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery prior to the service at 12:15pm. Rev. Jeremy Woodley and Rev. Karen Jones will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Dugger was born December 2, 1930 in Loraine, Texas to William Franklin and Gillian (Gee) Harriss. Dorothy grew up in Ft. Worth and graduated from Amon G. Carter Riverside High School. She married Bill Dugger on June 6, 1948 at Riverside United Methodist Church in Ft. Worth and together they had four children. Dorothy and Bill were active in many Methodist churches across Texas. She dedicated her life, with her generosity and caring for others, to the service of the churches that Bill pastored, as well as to friends and neighbors.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-law Marsha Sue and Norman Lamb and Teresa Beth Donaldson and son Harriss Clark Dugger. Mrs. Dugger was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Elmer Dugger, Jr., and son William “Billy” Elmer Dugger, III.
