Mrs. Doris (Hinze) Becker, 86 of Navasota, passed away Saturday, August 22nd at her home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 26th at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Matthias Dinger officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery in White Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Doris was born to Earnest & Henrietta (Loesch) Hinze in William Penn, Texas, on January 10, 1934. She was baptized on February 4, 1934, and confirmed on March 21, 1948, by Rev. C.J. Appel. After graduating from high school, she married Alfred Becker on October 18, 1953, in White Hall. Doris worked at Ketchum Drug Store for 32 years before moving to Castle of Sand and Shells daycare then to A Bright Beginning daycare for a total of 25 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; sisters and brother-in-laws, Alma & Henry Gaskamp, Laura & Arnold Holtkamp, and Adela & Harvin Schroeder; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin & Ella Mae Hinze, Ervin Hinze, Oscar & Lois Hinze, Ernest Hinze, and Ervin & Lorraine Molitor; brother-in-law, Marvin Becker; and son-in-law, Darrell Wichman.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Tanya & Neal Schuleman of Navasota, Beckie Wichman of Anderson, and son Clint Becker of Navasota and special friend, Susan Klodzinski of Anderson; grand children, Mariah and Todd Gonzales of Anderson, Hoyt Wichman of Anderson, Nicole and Lance Loerwald of Sargent, Kirk and Laura Wichman of Anderson, Shauna Schuleman and Richard Herren of Fort Worth, Kaitlin and Justin Mikulin of Plantersville; great grand children, Hunter, Saige, and Clay Combs, Skye Anzaldua, Reagan Wichman, Colton Wichman, and Ethan and Atley Mikulin.
Serving as pallbearers are Clay Combs, David Combs, Dr. John Walla, Hoyt Wichman, Kirk Wichman, Colton Wichman, Dale Hinze, and Ruben Anzaldua. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Herren, Rick Whitman, Todd Gonzales, Justin Mikulin, Ethan Mikulin, Atley Mikulin, and Gus Gutierrez.
