Mrs. Donna Pool Jolly, 70 of Navasota, passed away Friday, August 21 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 24 from 5:00-7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00am at the funeral home with the Rev. Kyle Childress officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Jolly was born December 5, 1944 in Rockdale, Texas to Van Foster Pool and Genevieve Ellis Pool. Throughout her life she worked in retail as a manager, although at heart she a historian and a member of the Grimes County Historical Commission. She was an active member of Anderson Baptist Church. A generous, kind and caring person, she could also be depended upon to be direct and frank about her beliefs and passions. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and dominoes, although time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild was her favorite thing of all.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Jolly; daughters and sons-in-law Vivian and Tex James and Angela and James Kubacak; son and husband Thomas and Greg Arrington-Terry; sister Jean Rhoads; brother and sister-in-law Van and Judy Pool; grandchildren Desare’ Emigh, Elizabeth Kubacak, Michael James, Caleb Kubacak and Hannah James; and great-granddaughter, Sadie.
Mrs. Jolly was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Scarlet Arrington.
