Mr. Dominick "Nick" Sage Falco, Sr. entered heaven to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2007. Visitation was held Friday, June 15 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A prayer service was recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota with Rev. Donald Kasper officiating. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. Services were under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Falco was born on February 18, 1919, in Burleson County, Texas to Charlie Falco and Michela Sage. He was baptized at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bryan on February 22, 1919. Mr. Falco was confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota on March 30, 1952, and remained a faithful member there all his life.
Mr. Falco married Willie Mae Hoefelmeyer on January 17, 1942, at the First Baptist Church in Brenham. He served and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1942.
In 1962, he and his wife purchased Falco's Grocery and Meat Market in Navasota. He continued to work in the meat market of the store for most of his life, retiring in 2006.
Mr. Falco was preceeded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carlo Falco of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Joe and Johnny Falco of Houston; daughter-in-law, Ursula Karin Dietz Falco of Navasota; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Dillon Falco of Navasota.
Mr. Falco is survived by his wife of 65 years, Willie Mae Falco of Navasota; three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Dominick Falco, Jr. of Navasota, Charles and Margaret Horn Falco of Navasota, and James and Josephine Sanchez Falco of Katy; a brother, Lee Falco of Houston; three sisters, Katherine Falco Dragna, Rosa Falco Bernadino, and Pauline Falco all of Houston; nine grandchildren, Sandra Falco and Roger Burns of Plantersville, Charles Eugene and Cindy Falco of College Station, Sonya Falco and Thomas Floyd of Plantersville, Sylvia Falco Amann of College Station, Craig and Debbie of Whitesboro, Kristi Falco of College Station, Jena Falco and Chris Guajardo of Clear Lake, Joel and Janeth Falco of Katy, and Jared Falco of Katy; and eleven great-grandchildren, Quentin Burns and Ethan and Nickayla Floyd of Plantersville, Cecily Falco and Kamrey and Cidnie Amann of College Station, Taylor and Aubri Falco of Whitesboro, Brooklyn Guajardo of Seabrook, and Jessica and Justin Falco of Katy.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Gene Falco, Craig Falco, Joel Falco, and Jared Falco; and great-grandsons, Ethan Floyd and Quentin Burns.
