Mr. David Allan Ellis, 56 of Navasota, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at Houston Hospice in Houston. Visitation with family and friends will be held Monday, December 23rd from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Henry Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
David was born to Edward & Barbara Ellis on November 24, 1963, in Atlanta, GA. After graduating from high school, David went on to fulfill his life long passion of becoming a fireman. David graduated from the TEEX fire training academy at Texas A&M University on July 3, 1998. David volunteered at the Millican Fire Department, he was a glass technician for many years before starting the adventure of operating his own mirror and glass business. He loved anything fast from motorcycles to hot-rods, race cars to boats; and he could fix them all.
He is survived by his daughter Lily Ellis of Navasota; brother Mickey Ellis of Bellville; sisters, Mandy McClure of Montgomery, and Dale Eldridge and husband Jimmy of Navasota.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Barbara Ellis of Navasota and sister, Luann Smith of Douglasville, GA.
Serving as pallbearers are Triston Tamez, Steven Figueroa, Jesse Ray Becker, Wesley Male, Jason Gilstrap and Brian Acreman. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Weigand and Rusty Eldridge.
