Cortney Marie Dyess

February 26, 1989 — December 18, 2024

Navasota, TX

Cortney Marie Dyess passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 35 in Navasota, Texas. Cortney loved her family and friends unconditionally. Although Cortney had a short life, she left her legacy on what it means to live a selfless life and to never give up despite how hard the circumstances may be. Though her time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness she shared will forever remain in our hearts.

Cortney graduated from A&M Consolidated High School, where she was on the basketball team. She also was an artist who could draw anything. She especially used her artistic abilities to do tattoos. This was a passion early on in her life.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert Kenneth Hill and Dorthy Nell Hill.

She leaves behind in death her partner, Toni Taylor; her parents, Danna Ray Dyess, JR., and Dee Ann Dyess; her brothers, Clayton Dyess, Adam Rene, and Peyton Dyess; her paternal grandparents, Danna Ray Dyess SR., and Linda Christine Dyess; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.

We welcome all who knew Cortney to join us in celebrating the life of a woman who was loved deeply and will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota, TX at 1:00 PM. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
