Mrs. Cordelia Bosse Stolz, 88, of Washington, passed away Monday, June 14th at Trinity Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am Thursday at Friedens Church of Washington, UCC with the Rev. Dr. George Klett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Cordelia was born July 28, 1921, to Fritz & Louise (Holtkamp) Bosse. She was a member of the Friedens Womens Fellowship and enjoyed many hobbies including quilting, fishing on the coast, picking berries and pecans, playing slot machines, gardening, canning, dancing, and sewing. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elsie Stolz.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Oscar "Jim" Stolz; sons, Wayne Stolz and wife Pam of Lufkin, Ray Stolz and wife Sally, James Stolz and wife Linda, and Elroy Stolz and wife Denise, all of Washington; brother, Herbert Bosse of Washington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred & Vermel Thane of Navasota and Bobby & Ollie Jane Walker of Washington; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Darren Stolz, Jeff Stolz, Jim Stolz, Will Stolz, Wesley Stolz, Skeeter Stolz, and Tommy Snow. Honorary pallbearers include Rhonda Boeker, Kerri Kaste, Tracy Pittman, Stephanie Maxson, Ashley Wilson, Emily Stolz, and Leslie Stolz.
