Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Nobles Funeral Chapel from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM with a Eulogy and Rosary immediately following. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Christ Our Light Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will immediately follow in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Eli Lopez officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Consuelo Reyes was born to her parents on Saturday, July 12, 1930, in Bessmay, Texas. She recognized early in life how important it was to work hard to help support her family, which was a trait she carried throughout her life. Coming from a large family, she was blessed to be one of the ten siblings.
Consuelo experienced great joy in knowing her family and friends enjoyed her cooking. But along with her love for cooking, she also loved to eat. She wouldn’t turn down a pie from her favorite pie place, Flying Saucer Pie Company or a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream. But let’s not forget her love of fried chicken! Every holiday gathering, her family would especially look forward to eating “Grandma’s dressing.” Consuelo’s favorite pastime would be to scoop up her Bingo Buddies for road trips to bingo halls both near and far. Now if she wasn’t playing bingo, then you would definitely find her loving and caring for her granddaughter Lori Reyes.
Consuelo’s parents, Juan and Jaunita; sons Phillip Reyes and Raymond Reyes; son-in-law, Samuel Suniga; granddaughter Lori Reyes; and siblings whom she loved very much all preceded her in death.
Her legacy continues in her sons, Ambrosio Reyes Jr., and Robert Reyes; daughter, Irene Suniga; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and close friends of the family.
Honoring her life as pallbearers are Robert Reyes Jr., Reuben Reyes, Sean Reyes, Mark Suniga, Phillip Reyes, Reuben Reyes Jr., Isiah Reyes, and Rudy Reyes.
