Connie Sue Bumgard, 64 of Plantersville, passed away Sunday, June 30th at her residence. Visitation with family and friends will be held Friday, July 5th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 6th, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery.
Connie was born in Navasota, Texas on February 25, 1955 to Lee Louis Bumgard and Nancy Burton. After the passing of her mother at a young age, her father remarried. Also a widow with four daughters, Eva Carraway Bumgard raised Connie and her siblings as if they were her own. Connie enjoyed trailriding, cooking and spending time with her sons and grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved sitting around with friends and families sharing memories and stories.
Connie is survived by her significant other, whom she lovingly referred to as her “Big Guy”, J. B. Stokes; sons Gary and Bobby Hale; sisters and brothers-in-law Debbie Jollisant, Annette Bumgard, Ruth Hughey, Nelda and Ben Stutts, Lucille and Donny Glass and Deborah and Don Bell; brother Jerry Carraway; grandchildren Courtney, Amberly, Taylor, Tiffani, Rylee, Wyatt, Colton, Jack and Macy; great grandson Carter and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Butorac, Cecil Sechelski, Martin Wenzel, J. B. Stokes, Don Luksa and Allen Flemming.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents.
