Mr. Cleve Joy Bayne, 89 of Navasota, passed away Friday, March 31 at Golden Creek Health Care & Rehab. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Cleve was born in Milton, KY, on January 23, 1928, to Cleveland Martin and Pearl (Green) Bayne. He proudly served his country from 1943-1945 in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the U. S. Navy, he worked in wholesale food sales. Later he worked with Harris County Law Enforcement several years and after that time, for many years he was selling church pews all over the state of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Annis Laverne Tanksley Bayne; daughter Francie Bayne; sisters Mary, Eleanor, and Freda; and brothers, Wilford, Oriel, Howard, Roy Allen, Joseph, David, James H., and George Bayne.
Mr. Bayne is survived by his longtime companion Virginia Lowe of Navasota; daughters, Joyceanne White Kenney & husband Shelby Kenney of Nacogdoches, Deborah Landry & husband Eugene of Houston; son Cleve Mark Bayne of
El Cajon, CA; nephew Ken Bayne of Spokane, WA along with numerous other nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 step-children, Eric Lowe & wife, Trish Lowe, Ross Lowe, and Norma Lowe.
