Clark Springfield, 79, of Navasota passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center in Navasota.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 21 at the funeral home with Clark Springfield, III officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Springfield was born on November 21, 1928 in Kosse, Texas, son of Ellen (Leamons) and Henry Clark Springfield.
Clark married Anna Creagor in Bryan on April 10, 1951. He was member of the Sul Ross Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, and the Shrine Temple.
Mr. Springfield was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Martha Harper and Jean Humphries.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna (Creagor) Springfield; daughters & son-in-law, Jo and Fred Whitehurst of Mesquite, Jo Anna and Richard Moreland of Navasota, and Martha Werchan of Elgin; son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Rose Springfield, III of Bryan; and 10 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are George Creagor of Riverside, Mike Creagor of Navasota, Luther and John Olden of College Station, Robert Olden of Navasota, and Edmond McGee of Navasota.
