Mrs. Cindy Wright, 63 of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Dubuis Hospital in Bryan. Visitation will be at Nobles Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 9th with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Truitt Kuensler officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Cindy was born in Haskell, Texas on September 11, 1946, to Elmer & Hazel (Wallace) Dean. She married Hubert "Hoot" Wright on November 20, 1970, in Greenville, Mississippi. For many years, Cindy literally made their house a home. She was blessed with many friends largely in part to her magnetic personality and ability to light up any room with her smile. She enjoyed dancing and traveling, and she especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Cindy truly loved life and lived it to the fullest with happiness.
She was preceded in death by her son, Beau Wright; father, Elmer Dean; step-father, Ray Berry; and sister, Sherri Dean.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Hoot Wright of Navasota; mother, Hazel Berry of Navasota; daughters, Shelly Thane & husband Robert of Navasota and Shawnna Wright of Navasota; sister, Doris Bates & husband Donnie of Rockport; and brother, James Dean & wife Gloria of Durango, Colorado; 8 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Roach of Burness, Louisiana, Roger Beechie of Rio Dosa, New Mexico, Phil Coleman of Paint Creek, Glenn Wallace of Leander, Buddy Lane of Dobbin, and Kevin West of Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brazos Valley Breast Cancer Support, PO Box 6373, Bryan, TX 77805.
