Funeral services for Mr. Chris Barker, 27, of Peach Creek, are set for 9am Friday, May 7, 2010 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Harold Barker officiating. Interment will follow in Peach Creek Cemetery.
Chris was born in Bryan on January 28, 1983 to Raymond and JoEllen (Dawson) Barker. He was a family man who loved the outdoors, and loved being a father to his two daughters.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom & Ina Mae Barker, and Alton & Cookie Dawson. .
Survivors include his parents; wife, Cassandra Ross of Peach Creek; daughters, Rachell Mae Barker & Katie Ann Barker, both of Peach Creek; sister, Beckie Barker of Sour Lake; brothers, Robert Barker of College Station, Billy Barker and Daniel Barker, both of Peach Creek, and Timothy Barker of Crystal Beach; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Seay of Peach Creek, Jennifer Harris and Amanda Harris of Houston, and Brandi Barker of Crystal Beach; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael (Z-Bo) Zalobny of Snook, Brandon Vick of Wellborn, Porter (PJ) Lunsford, Jr. of Iola, Rodney (Bubba) Zalobny of Wellborn, David Dugger of Navasota and Larry Wayne Randall of Millican.
