Christine B. Molitor, 90, of Anderson passed away Monday, March 3, 2008, at the Sheridan of Navasota.
Visitation will be Friday, March 7 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson with Pastor Dan Schoessow officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Molitor was born July 16, 1917, daughter of John and Annie (Wehmeyer) Becker. She married her husband, Albert Molitor, on January 30, 1936 in Anderson. The two of them shared a special fondness for the Sunshine Center where Christine served as director.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; sisters, Clara Haldarmann and Edna Bolenbarr; and brother, Cummings Becker.
Christine is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Erna M. & John S. Freeman of Anderson and Barbara A. Phillips of Ellensburg, WA; sisters-in-law, Norma Molitor of Anderson and Loraine Molitor of White Hall; grandchildren, Cheryl Ketcham of Smithville, VA, Cynthia Finley of College Park, MA, and Debra Andrews of Sugarland; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Abigail, & Clayton Ketcham, Elizabeth & Grace Andrews, and Brigid Finley O'Donnell.
Serving as pallbearers are Jim Andrews of Sugarland, Sean O'Donnell of College Park, MA, Don Bolenbarr of Brenham, Mike Cotter of Lewisville, TX, Randy Molitor of Anderson, Weyman Leiber of Houston, and Mike Copley of Anderson.
