Charlene Wooten, 84, of Brenham and formerly of Navasota passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011. Funeral services are set for 10am Tuesday, April 26 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Knix officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Charlene was born in Pittsburgh, Texas on February 28, 1927, the daughter of Winfield and Flossie (Campbell) Pilkington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Irvin Wooten; sons, Terry Ervin Wooten and Ronald Keith Wooten; sister, Bobbie Sue Cates; brothers, Eugene Pilkington, R.B. Pilkington and John Dean Pilkington; and sister-in-law, Mary Pilkington.
She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Robbie Wooten of Brenham; Rodney Wooten of Houston; Shawn Wooten of San Marcos; Lance Wooten of College Station; and David Byers and Waylon Byers, both of Washington.
