Charlene Collum

Charlene Sanders Collum, 84, of Navasota passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008, in Navasota. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11 at Stewart Cemetery, in Henderson. Visitation will be held Friday with the family present from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Charlene was born Saturday, September 13, 1924 to Charlie Jutson and Sallie Mae (Duncan) Sanders. She married her husband, Tommie Delton Collum, Sr. on October 27, 1942, in Orange County, TX. Through out life Charlene enjoyed traveling, bird watching, and spent many days delivering stuffed animals in coffee mugs to nursing homes. She was also was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Charlene is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Tommylene & Johnny Bell of Georgetown, and Beverly Jean & Pete Stassi of Houston; son, Tom Collum, Jr. of Roanoke; sister & brother-in-law, Melba & Travis Hudson of Orange; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommie Delton Collum, Sr.; and brothers, Bob, Glen, & Jack Collum.
