Mr. Cesareo Medina, 66, of Navasota passed away Wednesday, February 1st at Chi St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 6 from 5:00-7:00pm at Christ Our Light Catholic Church followed by a parish rosary at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 7 at 10:30am also at the church with the Rev. Rodolfo “JoJo” Cal-Ortiz officiating. Rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Cesareo was born on August 14, 1950 in San Miguel Allende GTO Mexico. At the age of 25, he moved to the United States and soon sought and obtained his U. S. Citizenship. He worked as a Poultry Butcher for Sanderson Farms for many years.
Cesareo loved to dance. He was always the first on the dance floor and the last one off. He enjoyed time with family and friends and was always quick with a smile.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Estefana Medina of Navasota; son and daughter-in-law Rey David and Maria Miguelina of Navasota; brothers Felipe Medina of Sulpher Springs, Santiago Medina of San Miguel, Mexico, Felix Medina of Katy and Nicolas Medina of San Antonio and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Ricarda Medina.
