Mrs. Carol A. Lands, 75, of Anderson passed away at her home Wednesday, December 16th. A parish rosary will be recited at 9:30am Monday, December 21st at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00am at the church with Rev. Rodolfo "JoJo" Cal-Ortiz will officiate. Rite of committal will follow in Erwin Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Carol was born in Cleveland, Texas on December 25, 1939 to Johnny Younger and Effie May (Young) Younger. She had two sisters and one brother. She worked in the electronics industry as an assembly worker for most of her life. She loved to shop, and it mattered not where… the mall, flea markets, craft shows or small town shops. Carol loved to laugh and socialize with friends and family, and will be remembered fondly for her sense of humor. Her late husband, Johnny S. Lands, Jr. and her enjoyed fishing together. Her proudest accomplishments in life were her two boys, and her adored grandchildren and great-grandchidren. She was happiest surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Ricky W. Smith and wife Jane and Timothy D. Smith and wife Stacey; sister Mary Beth Mize; grandchildren Todd, Amber, and Heather Smith, Brittney Smith Gauntt and Anna Smith Chmiel; and great-grandchildren Anna Grace Gauntt, Adalyn Gauntt and Claire Elise Gauntt.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband Johnny S. Lands, Jr., grandson Joseph Smith, sister Madline Mecless and brother Luby Younger.
