Mrs. Bonnie Shoppe Stolz, 74, of Washington, lost her short battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at her residence. Visitation will be Friday, December 12 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with family present from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at the funeral chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Trimmer, of Friedens Church of Washington, UCC officiating. Interment will follow in Hallettsville City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Bonnie was born Wednesday, September 5, 1934 to Henry Lee & Ruth Darlene (McKamy) Williams in Hopkins County, TX. She worked at the Chaparral Motel for numerous years before leaving Hallettsville in 1999. She married Stanley Stolz on July 6, 2000 in Brazoria, TX. Among being a beautician, Bonnie enjoyed spending her time fishing, traveling, and taking trips to Louisiana to visit the casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a husband, Buster Schoppe.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Stolz of Washington; daughters & son-in-law, Vicki & Tommy Causey of Sealy and Sheryl Stolz of Bellville; son & daughter-in-law, David & Allissa Stolz of Houston; sister, Dorothy June Casey of Houston; niece, Elaine Watson of Longmont, CO; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
