Funeral services for Bobby Lerma were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13th at Christ Our Light Catholic Church under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Bobby was born on 23 April 1983 and raised in Navasota, Texas. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on 19 June 2007. Bobby completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and arrived at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD on 30 August 2007. He graduated from Advanced Individual Training on 4 December 2007 and received the Military Occupational Specialty of 63B Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. Bobby was scheduled to attend Airborne School and continue to his follow on assignment.

Bobby passed away at a young age of 24 on 4 March 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Bay Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. This Warrior was a dedicated member of the U.S. Army and will truly be missed.

Bobby's award and decorations included the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.

We remember Bobby as a Loving Son, brother, father and Soldier. His positive outlook, motivation, competitive nature and desire to contribute to his family and country is his enduring legacy.

Bobby Ray leaves to cherish his memories; Dearly mother Angie Moya, Father Robert Lerma Jr. Sons, Lawrence, Joshua and Devon. Grandmother Concepcion Duenas. Grandparents Robert Lerma Sr. and Maria Lerma. Sister Sarah Rush, brother-in-law Sedderick Rush Sr. Nephews Juelz Rush and Sedderick Rush Jr. relatives and many, many friends.
