Mr. Bobbie Lyn Oberhoff, 61, of Washington, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010 at The St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be held Friday, January 29, from 6-8pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel, and funeral services are set for 10am, Saturday, January 30, at Friedens Church of Washington, UCC, with Rev. Dr. George Klett and Rev. Glen Schoenberg officiating. Interment will follow in Friedens Church Cemetery.

Mr. Oberhoff was born July 25, 1948 in Sugarland, to Erich and Anita (Buerger) Oberhoff. He married Linda Faye Jensen on Sunday, May 23, 1971 at Friedens Church of Washington, and loved her for 38 years. He was a graduate of Brenham High School and TSTI in Waco. He was also a 20 year employee of Brenham Wholesale Grocery, Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, founder of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Old Washington Supporters, director of the Washington County Farm Bureau, the Washington Local President, and a member of the Friedens Church of Washington, serving on the Council. His hobbies included mechanic work, tractors, cattle, barbeques, and he had a great love for his grandsons.

Bobbie was preceded in death by his father, Erich Oberhoff; brother-in-law, Bobbie Ray Kohring; and sister-in-law, Suzette Jensen.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Oberhoff of Washington; mother, Anita Oberhoff of Brenham; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bennie & Willie Mae Jensen of Washington; daughter & son-in-law, Thresia Lynn & Keith Schlabach of Washington; grandsons, Hunter Allen & Mitchell Lyn Schlabach of Washington; sister, Pat Kohring of Brenham; brother, Ricky Oberhoff of Brenham; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Billy Ray and Donna Jensen of Washington, Mark and Carol Jensen of Brenham, and Robert Jensen of Washington; nieces and nephews, Russell Dean & Amanda Kohring, Amy Kohring & Michael Appling, Zachary & Leann Jensen, Todd Jensen, Erich Oberhoff and Brazos Oberhoff, all of Brenham, Jon Eric & Krystle Jensen, and Larry Jensen, all of Washington; Jared & Brooke Jensen of Bryan; as well as numerous aunts and uncles, and great nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Russell Dean Kohring, Michael Appling, Jon Jensen, Larry Jensen, Jared Jensen, Zachary Jensen, Roger Finke and Gary Grebe. Honorary pallbearers are Erich William Oberhoff, Brazos Oberhoff, Todd Jensen, Ray Stolz, Randy Buck, Bruce Johnson, the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, and the Employees of Brenham Wholesale Grocery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friedens Church of Washington, or the Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
