Mrs. Blanche Arnold Prescott, 84, of Millican, passed away Sunday, November 9th at Golden Creek Healthcare. Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, November 13th at 5:00 – 7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, November 14th at 10:00am, also at the funeral chapel. Interment in Wheat Cemetery in Millican will follow. Rev. David Medina will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota, Texas.
Blanche was born October 8, 1930 in Millican to George and Hazel Arnold. She attended elementary school in Millican and graduated from high school in Navasota. She married John Prescott on May 2, 1952 and together they raised three children. She was also a lifetime member of Millican Baptist Church.
Mrs. Prescott is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John; daughter and son-in-law Johnnie (Prescott) and Marvin Pokorny of Towell, Texas; brother and sister-in-law George Milam, Jr. and Pat Arnold; sister-in-law Jo Crawford; grandchildren Marti Farr London and husband Greg, Clint Jarod Wade, Eric Pokorny, Sara Pokorny Schikevitz and husband Brian; and great grandchildren Guy London and Cara London.
She was preceded in death by her parents, children Hazel Lois Prescott Farr and Jerry Wayne Prescott; grandson Bo Farr; and brother Douglas Crawford.
Serving as pallbearers are Moreecy Day, Henry Lee Day, Scott Butler, Mike Shellanbarger, George Young and Guy London.
