Mrs. Billie Marie Grissom

Mrs. Billie Marie Grissom, 88, of Richards passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Hospital. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 28th at Richards Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Hoke and Rev. Joe Saffle officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Huntsville. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Billie was born on April 9, 1924, in Waco, Texas the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Mathews) Johnson. Billie married James C. Grissom on December 25, 1942, in Trinity, Texas.

Mrs. Grissom was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Johnson and Jim Ed Johnson and half brother Walter Schuster.

She is survived by her husband, James C. Grissom of Richards; daughters, Gail Lott of Richards and Kay Murphy of Richards; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Martha Grissom of Dripping Springs and Jim and Betty Grissom of Spring; sister, Betty Phillips of Houston; sister-in-law, Peggy Schuster of Richardson; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
