Mrs. Betty Ann Stratton

Betty Ann Stratton, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully from this life on May 13, 2023 at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation of Bryan, Texas.

Betty will be forever missed by her children and grandchildren.

Betty was born on April 2, 1937, in Houston, Texas to the late Edward and Alma Quinn. She lived in Houston her entire life where she met and married her husband Fred Stratton on May 21, 1955. They were married for 19 years and had three children together.

Betty was a dedicated mother to her children with whom she stayed home to raise during the majority of their childhood. She also had a successful career in bookkeeping for Gulf Window Coverings in Houston, Texas for over 20 years. She retired in 2007 at the age of 72. Betty was devout Christian and enjoyed attending services at First Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her three children (and their spouses): Dena Poremski (Doug), Debra Schilling, and Darrell Stratton (Azucena): her twelve grandchildren: Aaron, Amber, Ryan, Bethany, Jessica, Michelle, Jonathan, Taylor, Fredrick, Rebeca, Darrell Jr., and Sarah. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alma Jean Stratton.
