Betty Jo (Haynie) Smith, 81, of Richards passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm Saturday at Nobles Funeral Chapel, and funeral services are set for 3:30pm Sunday at Richards Baptist Church with the Rev. Reagan Cooksey officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Richards Cemetery.
Betty was born November 7, 1928 in Richards to Harold and Arnita (Post) Haynie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Goree (Bobby Haynie); and son-in-law, Norman Lofland.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Lofland of Richards; son, Bobby Smith of Richards; brother, Ira E. "Bud" Haynie & wife Carol of Richards; grandchildren, Erica & J.C. Idom of Richards, and Chase & Stacey Smith of Magnolia; and special friend, DeLynn Smith.
Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Haynie, Randy Haynie, J.C. Idom, and Robert Harris, all of Richards, Ronnie Haynie of Columbus, and Chase Smith of Magnolia.
