Mrs. Betty Ruth Prater Case, 86, of Bedias passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. The family will receive visitors from 8-10am Friday, February 24 and funeral services will be held at 10am immediately following the visitation, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. DeWitt C. Rowe officiating. Interment will be held at 2pm in the Brookside Memorial Park in Houston.
Betty was born in Houston on February 21, 1926, the daughter of Paul and Catherine (Davis) Hays. She was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Auxiliary Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Welsey Prater and James Troy Case; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Red Henson; and brother, Bill Hays.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Catharine and DeWitt Rowe of Bedias, Anita and Robert Fairman of Brenham, and Jody and Robert Mitchell of Plantersville; sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Rita Prater of Delano, TN and Troy and Carrie Case of Tennessee Colony; sister-in-law, Billie Hays of Buffalo; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild;
Serving as pallbearers are Don Wesley Fairman of Round Top, David Wesley Feist of New Caney, Paul Richard Feist of Richards, Wayne Eugene Fairman of Brenham, Michael Gene Feist of Bryan, and Ryan Case of Tennessee Colony. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Putz of Bryan and Paul Wesley Prater of Delano, TN.
