Bertha Kopecky Long, 95, of Navasota passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Sheridan of Navasota.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville with the Rev. Ed Kucera officiating. Rite of committal will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. and going until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Ms. Long was born on April 9, 1912 in Hebbronville, daughter of Marie (Wolf) and Joseph Edward Kopecky.
Ms. Long was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James C. Long; twin brother, Albert; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Fowler of Anderson; granddaughter, Michelle Hooper of Nacogdoches; and five great-grandchildren.
