Mrs. Bertha Lee Kolby, 86, of Navasota passed away Saturday, July 16 at Golden Creek Nursing & Rehab. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, July 19 from 5:00-7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 at 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthias Dinger officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Kolby was born November 16, 1929 in Brenham, Texas to Adolph and Bertha (Lange) Lehde. She married Lawrence Kolby and together they raised two children. She worked at Brookshire Brothers in Navasota for many years and will be remembered as a hard-working, dedicated employee with a ready smile.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kay and Mike Harris of Navasota; son and daughter-in-law Allen and Melanie Kolby of Navasota; sister-in-law Vera Lehde and grandchildren Clay and Amberly Kolby, Jeb and Shelbie Kolby, Clint and Elizabeth Kolby; Valerie and Taylor Langford and Marjorie Harris; great-grandchildren Mason and Camden Kolby, Cade Owen, Charis Kolby, and Catherine Kolby.
Serving as pallbearers are Clay Kolby of Anderson, Jeb Kolby of Tomball, Clint Kolby of Brenham, Steven Sorensen of Taylor, Tommy Schwartz of Taylor and Skip Nobles of Navasota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence Kolby, brothers Lilbon Lehde, Almon and Faye Lehde, and Calvin Lehde; and sister Celonie and Henry Schwartz.
