Her pride was her own personal gardens at home, meticulously kept and tended with love. Aunt Bernie was a an outgoing, social woman who never met a stranger. She was a member of the Carlos Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed going to singings and revivals.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Williams, Wade Edwards, Bryon Barnhill, Andrew Barnhill, Darrell Wagner and Mike Wren.
Mrs. Colby was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Theodore Colby.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that a memorial contribution in her name be made to any local church.
