Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Ben was born in Bryan on January 10, 1972, to Jack and Leona (Sage) Binford. He graduated from Navasota High School and worked for Mid-South Synergy where he was employed for the past 20 years. On August 1, 2000, he married Lisa Shumaker, and the couple was blessed with two boys, Heston & Peyton. Ben didn't have a lazy bone in his body as he was a wonderful provider for his family. He loved his family, and he loved the land. One of his favorite past times was riding around his ranch with his boys just watching the cows watch him. It was the simple things in life that Ben enjoyed; listening to music, grilling meat on the pit, mowing the pasture, baling some hay, or making a fire for his family and friends to gather around and enjoy. Those that knew him best will remember him goofing off in one of his favorite Hawaiian shirts. Ben was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his best friend, Jeff Gajeske and niece, Kallie Neutzler.
Ben is survived by his wife, Lisa Binford and sons, Heston & Peyton; parents, Jack and Leona Binford of Navasota; sister, Kay Neutzler and husband Marc of Navasota; nieces, Kourtney & Kristen Neutzler of Navasota and Whitney Wells of Bryan; nephews, Shawn Anthony Shumaker of Round Rock and Chase Wells of Bryan; uncle, Carroll "Bubba" Sage of Navasota; father-in-law, Gary Shumaker and wife Helen of Franklin; mother-in-law, Sandra Bowen Shumaker-French and husband John of Bryan; brother-in-law, Duane Shumaker and partner Tim Bell of Chicago, IL; and sisters-in-law, Stacey Kay Shumaker of Round Rock and Krystal Shumaker Wells of Bryan.
