Annie was born in New Waverly, Texas on May 10, 1929 to Tony and Verna (Wagner) Gubas. She married Ben Grupa on October 9, 1945 and together they raised two daughters. Mrs. Grupa prided herself on being a good wife and homemaker and loved cooking and canning in her home. She also loved working as the director of the church nursery. Those closest to her will remember her for her undying devotion to her family and friends, snazzy sense of fashion and love of games, crafts, books and her beloved cat, Toby.
She is survived by her beautiful daughters and son-in-law Susan and Ronnie Reed of Anderson and Delores Pavlock of Houston; grandchildren Crystal Sebesta, Travis Pavlock and Tracy Pavlock; and many, many special friends who surrounded her every day with their love and friendship.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ben Grupa.
The family would like to extend love and many, many thanks to those who cared for Mrs. Grupa, among them Dr. Heath Eggleston with Texas A&M Physicians; Connie, Ann Marie, Tonya and Courtney with Right at Home; Stephanie Daniel, caregiver; the staff at Broadmoor Place Senior Living, Brandi, Heather, Lori, Johnathan, Linda, Janet, Patricia, Holly, Rubie, Rebekah, Megan, Desiree, Bailyn, Kadesha, Benita, Gloria and Lisa; Physicians and staff at the St. Joseph Stroke Unit; Brazos Valley Hospice and special friend, Andy Habib.
