Annie Virginia (Jones) Bridges 91, of Plano, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, 10:00 am at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Prairie Lee Cemetery in Brenham. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Bridges was born December 28, 1921, in Haynes, SC, the daughter of Lee Orville & Lillian Mae (Ballenger) Jones and enjoyed a younger sister, Geraldine Jones Martinez.. She married Horace Eugene Bridges on September 2, 1938. Virginia and family moved from South Carolina around 1956 to Brenham, Texas. She was employed at Maddox Furniture Manufacturing Company, and upon retirement moved to College Station and later to Navasota. In Navasota she worked as Assistant Manager of 42 Place Senior Complex. She enjoyed her time there and worked until, because of her health, she decided to retire.

Annie Virginia Bridges was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace Eugene Bridges: son, Horace Aaron Bridges and son-in-law, W.S. "Bo" Bouldin.

She is survived by her daughters, Annie Lucille "Lucy" Bouldin of Huntsville and Kathy Elaine Bridges Sanchez and husband Pete; son, Oliver Eugene Bridges and his wife Pat of Kansas; grandchildren, William Lee Bouldin of Carmi, IL, Sherrie Lynn Bouldin Pegoda and husband Ronnie of Huntsville, Steve Clark Bouldin and wife Kayla, Of North Pole, AK, Miguel Andres Sanchez and wife Anna of Corinth, Ramon Daniel Sanchez, Marcos Antonio Sanchez and wife Whitney of Plano; Great grandchildren, Kacy Marie Bouldin of Carmi, IL, Christle Ann Tottingham and Brandon of Huntsville, Stephanie Ray Pegoda Goen and David of College Station, Nathan , Joshua, Matthew and Levi Bouldin of Alaska, Brenden and Ava Marie Sanchez of Corinth, Damian and Mason Sanchez of Plano; great grandchildren, Bryar and Dakota Tottingham of Huntsville. Virginia is also survived by a long time friend Ms. Lillian Price of Millican.
