Marjorie Ann Shead Boring, 75 of Richards passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Sheridan of Navasota.
She was born November 5, 1937 in Sulphur Branch, Texas. Marjorie received a bachelor's degree from Mary-Hardin- Baylor University in Belton, Texas in 1959. She received a master's degree in Missions from Southern seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1963. She served on the Baptist Home Mission Board in Kentucky and Georgia from 1964-1969. Marjorie then received a Master's degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University in 1990. She worked as a librarian for Richards ISD and Cold spring ISD and later in the Navasota Public Library with the Senior Texas Employment Program (STEP). She was a longtime member of the Richards Baptist Church in Richards, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marion Boring, her parents Thomas William Shead and Azalene McDonald Shead and brother, William Carroll Shead.
She is survived by brother Robert Andrew "Henry" Shead of Richards, sister-in-law, Thalia Smith Shead of Pasadena, nieces, cousins, many special friends and a community who loved her dearly.
