Andrew “Andy” Wesley Riley, 72 of Navasota passed away Friday, November 3rd. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00pm, Friday, November 10th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 11th, also at the funeral home. Jeff Riley will preside. Interment will follow in Peach Creek Cemetery in the Peach Creek Community near College Station. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Andy was born December 5, 1944 in Navasota to Charlie and Ruby (Clark) Riley. He joined the U. S. Army during high school and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1965. He worked as an engineer for General Telephone for several years. Andy was a member of the VFW and American Legion and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. He enjoyed collecting antiques, coaching little league and t-ball and was a well-loved PawPaw, father, brother and friend.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Wesley and Elizabeth Riley; sisters and brother-in-law Shirley and Clarence Moehlmann and Sandra Riley; brothers and daughter-in-law Jeffery and Karen Riley and Donald Riley; step daughters Danette Hicks and Kim Parker and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Floyd Luce, Ysidoro Ramirez, Dennis Moehlmann, Jeren Riley, Dustin Avila and Dwayne Avila.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents; life partner Patsy Muston and brothers Bobby Joe, James, Carl and Ronald Riley.
