Amy Lynn Russell, 41, of Normangee died Monday, March 9th in Madisonville as a result of an automobile accident. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00pm, Friday, March 13th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 14th, also at the funeral home, with Rev. Kermit Bostelman officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church cemetery in Anderson. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Amy was born on March 3, 1974 in Florida. She became a member of the Russell family at the age of six by adoption. She loved music and her cats. She enjoyed and valued caring for others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she cared for patients in the hospital, the elderly and the disabled in rest homes and for the people in her life. Because of her graciousness, generosity and modesty, it would be difficult to guess that she graduated first in her class from business college and won awards for the quality of her service in the hospital. She will be remembered for those traits as well as her beautiful blue eyes.
She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Russell; brothers Chris and Billy Russell; sons Trey Allen Smith and Matthew Tyler Russell; nephews Blaine, Dustin, Koen and Garrett Russell; niece Klara Russell and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Gene Russell, grandparents Robert and Clara Russell; Will, Ruby Jean and Sophie Emshoff.
Serving as pallbearers are Frank Smith, Jr., of Anderson, Donald Ray Yargo of Anderson, Hershel Perry, Jr., of Anderson, Ronald Russell of Hearne , Rocky Weller of Anderson and James Schroeder of College Station.
Rather than flowers, and because Amy loved animals so very much, she would have loved for you to consider a donation to The Friends of Animals Animal Shelter in Navasota as a living memorial to her. You may do this by addressing your contribution to: City of Navasota Animal Shelter Fund, P. O. Box 910, Navasota, TX 77868 Re: Amy Russell Memorial Contribution.
