Alton Parker

March 16, 1930 — April 10, 2009

Mr. Alton Troy Parker, 79, of Navasota, passed away Friday, April 10 at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Visitation will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00pm, and funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, April 14, at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Max Brand officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was born March 16, 1930 in Madison County, TX to Clyde and Gracie (Goolsby) Parker. He married Grace (Stolz) Parker in Washington on September 5, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Parker; sister, Shirley Binford; and grandaughter Jamie Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Grace; daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Dale Montplaiser of Massachusetts; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Tish Parker of College Station and Douglas and Donna Parker of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Hal Wyatt of Center, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Nelda Parker of Navasota. Grandsons, Grayson Troy Parker of College Station, Chris Parker of Austin, Christopher Ramos, Caleb Parker, Seth Parker, Chase Parker and Stephen Bracewell of Navasota; grandaughter, Jodie Montplaisir of Springfield, Massachusetts; great-grandson, Ronnie Mitchell of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Stephen Bracewell,Jr., of Navasota; great-granddaughters, Jennifer Bracewell of Navasota, and Alexis Parker of Austin.
Serving as pallbearers will be Skeeter Stolz of Navasota, Jody Matejicek of Anderson, David Crenshaw of Anderson, Edwin Marek of Anderson, Dennis Sechelski of Navasota, and Victor Ostiguin of Navasota. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Binford of Navasota, and Dr. Pollichi Selvakumarraj of College Station.
