Allen Rainey,

Allen Calvin Rainey, Sr, 81, of Navasota passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Rainey was born on April 7, 1926, in Pocasset, Oklahoma, son of Rose Smith and Thomas Rainey. He enjoyed raising show pigs and serving as a 4-H leader. Although he loved his family, he was especially fond of his great-grandchildren and new great-great grandchild.
Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1 at Fairview Cemetery in Whitehall with Reverend Glenn Easterly officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Rainey is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Lorena Jean Black of Houston and Alana Sue & Harold Starnes of Waller; son and daughter-in-law, Allen Calvin, Jr. & Sally Rainey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rainey.
