Mrs. Alice Virginia Ward

Mrs. Alice Ward, 92, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away at her residence. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 1:00pm, Tuesday, January 3rd at Nobles Funeral Chapel, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Wheat Cemetery in Millican, Texas. Rev. Clyde Larrabee will officiate. Arrangements are under the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 2, 1924 to Herman and Blanche Elizabeth (Schatz) Mueller, Alice graduated from high school and attended college, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in education. She was a teacher in the public school system. She married Coleman Ward on August 15, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri and together they raised three children.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ward Wilcox of Indianapolis, IN; sons and daughter-in-law Coleman Bruce Ward of Nashville, TN and Douglas and Tracy Ward, also of Nashville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Coleman Y. Ward.

Serving as pallbearers are Kyle B. Wilcox, Coleman A. Ward, Cameron A. Ward and Carson A. Ward.
