Alfred Leiber

Mr. Alfred Leiber, 80, of Navasota passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, December 20, with a prayer service at 7pm, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are set for 2pm Tuesday, December 21 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson with the Rev. Dan Schoessow officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Alfred was born in Anderson, TX on January 14, 1930 to Fritz & Emma (Tuckhorn) Leiber. He married Dorothy Louise Becker on December 16, 1951 in White Hall, and the two enjoyed 59 years of marriage. A truck driver, Mr. Leiber worked for T.J. Haynie and W.R. Shive before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hilda Molitor; and brothers-in-law, Walter Molitor & Norbert H. Becker.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Becker Leiber of Navasota, cousin, Rosie Finke of White Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Larry Finke of Conroe, Douglas Finke of Katy, Lynn Pieper & Onis Finke of Brenham, Charles Leiber of Navasota, and Frank Smith of Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church.
