Mr. Alfred H. Becker, 83, of Navasota, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Sheridan of Navasota. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22nd with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are set for 10:00 am Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Don Kasper officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Church Cemetery in White Hall.
Alfred was born December 13, 1925 in White Hall to Reinhardt & Minnie (Hilley) Becker, and he married Doris Hinze in White Hall, on October 18, 1953. Ever the outdoorsman, Alfred loved hunting, fishing, working on a tractor, and raising his beloved dogs.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Darrell Wichman; and brother-in-law, Ervin Molitor.
He is survived by his wife Doris Becker; daughters and son-in-law, Tanya & Neal Schuleman of Navasota and Beckie Wichman of Anderson; son, Clint Becker & Shirley Batts of Navasota; sister, Lorrine Molitor of White Hall; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin & Carolyn Becker of White Hall; grandchildren, Mariah Bailey and husband Billy, Hoyt Wichman, Niki Combs, Kirk Wichman, Shauna Schuleman, and Kaitlin Schuleman; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Saige, and Clay Combs; Skye Anzaldua; and Reagan & Colton Wichman.
Serving as pallbearers are Hoyt Wichman, Kirk Wichman, David Combs, Billy Bailey, Mike Cotter, Tracy Schiller, James Schroeder, and Larry Schroeder. Honorary pallbearers are Clay Combs, Colton Wichman, John Walla, Gus Gutierrez, Raymond Uilkie, and Mike Jolly.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
